Percussionist Artist Wesley Xavier Yurovchak is a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA (Drum Set Principal), with a B.A. in Music Business/Management. He now lives in his hometown of Portland, OR, where he creates music, teaches lessons, and works for the largest show promoter in town, Monqui Presents.
Wes has studied drums privately with world-renowned drummers Kenwood Dennard (Miles Davis), Mike Johnston (mikeslessons.com), Sergio Bellotti (Nathan East), John Hazilla (student of Max Roach, Joe Morello, and John Riley), and PNW legends Israel Annoh, Caton Lyles, and Robert Sullens just to name a few. His passion for drumming and music is also reflected in his interests for digital media creation, production, and strategy.
In 2014, Wes started his own video production company, WXY Entertainment. Check out the Video page to see the latest reel. In 2020, he released his first EP, The Lovejoy Sessions, Vol. 1.
